Mamajanov Nuriddin Yakubjonovich, who served as the first deputy director of the Department of Economic Diplomacy and Cultural Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has been appointed as the deputy governor of the Fergana region, heading the regional investment, industry, and trade department. This appointment was announced by the press service of the regional government.
On November 28, during a meeting at the regional governor's office, the relevant decision of the regional governor was announced, introducing Nuriddin Mamajanov as the deputy governor of the region.
For reference, Nuriddin Mamajanov was born on July 27, 1982, in the city of Kuvasoy. He holds a higher education degree, graduating from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and Central Bohemian University (Prague). He earned a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from the European Institute of Applied Sciences and Management (Prague).
Throughout his career, Mamajanov held various key positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Justice. He worked at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Germany and at the General Consulate in Frankfurt-Main. In 2022-2023, he served as a consultant on trade and economic issues at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the People's Republic of China.
Before this recent appointment, Nuriddin Mamajanov worked as the first deputy director of the Department of Economic Diplomacy and Cultural Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where he also served as the head of the Department of Cooperation with International Economic Organizations and International Financial Institutions.
From May 2021 to November 2023, Iqboljon Ergashev, the former deputy governor of the Fergana region and head of the regional investment and foreign trade department, was appointed as the chairman of the Silk and Wool Industry Development Committee based on the President's decision.
