The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has called on citizens to uphold peace, tolerance, and a responsible civic stance in light of the ongoing armed conflict between Israel and Iran. The Ministry issued an official appeal on the matter.

It was noted that recent days have seen a significant escalation of tensions in the Middle East, particularly between Israel and Iran, resulting in armed confrontation. This development is a source of serious concern not only for the region but also for the international community.

The Ministry stressed that the intensification of hostilities poses a direct threat to regional stability and peace, with the gravest consequences affecting civilians, especially children and women.

“The Republic of Uzbekistan considers war not as a means of resolving disputes, but as a serious threat to human life, stability, and development. There are no winners in war. It is always the ordinary people who suffer the most,” the statement reads. Uzbekistan, it emphasized, has consistently pursued a peace-oriented foreign policy and will continue to do so, maintaining friendly and mutually beneficial relations with countries across the world. “In this regard, we urge citizens of Uzbekistan to adhere to peace-loving, tolerant, and responsible civic behavior. It is our common duty to refrain from reacting to conflicts based on religious, racial, or personal affiliations, and to resist any propaganda promoting hatred and discord,” the appeal added.

The Ministry also called on the public not to fall for provocations or inflammatory rhetoric, encouraging a calm and rational response to events.

“Preserving national and religious harmony in our society is a vital guarantee of overall stability and security. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan once again underscores its support for the peaceful resolution of conflicts following international law and through diplomatic dialogue. Relations based on peace and mutual respect will always remain a priority of our foreign policy,” the statement concluded.

It should be recalled that earlier, the Israeli Embassy in Tashkent warned Israeli citizens in Uzbekistan about the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel.
