Individuals detained for taking bribes in exchange for jobs in medical institutions

In the Fergana region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, individuals who promised jobs in medical institutions in exchange for money have been detained. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.
According to the report, during an operational operation, an employee of the Central Polyclinic of the Altiyarik district, N.R., was detained with material evidence after gaining the trust of citizen D.U. and, with the help of acquaintances, promising to secure a job for her at the district Medical Association in exchange for \$1,500.
Similarly, during an operational operation in the city of Nukus, an employee of the Karakalpakstan branch of the Specialized Endocrinological Scientific and Practical Medical Center, P.D., was detained with material evidence after gaining the trust of citizen N.G. and receiving 15 million soums in exchange for promising to place him in one of the medical institutions.
Criminal cases have been initiated under Articles 25 and 168 (fraud), and Articles 28 and 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are currently underway.
It is worth noting that earlier, employees of the Customs and Tax Committees were detained while accepting bribes in the Tashkent region and the city of Tashkent.
