In 2021 alone, there were more than 50,000 complaints about the delay of the ambulance brigade received from the regions.  This is because this area does not have a unified management system, that is, there are 3 «bosses» of ambulance.  The president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated this today, 5 May during a video-conference devoted to measures to improve the quality of the emergency and urgent medical aid system and its approximation to the population.

At the meeting, it was noted that more than 40 high-tech operating systems were introduced into the regional centers of emergency medical care, and, the president noted that many issues have been raised in an open dialogue with the medical community to improve the ambulance service.

"For example, in 2021 alone, more than 50 thousand complaints were received from the regions about the delay of the ambulance team.  This is due to the fact that this field does not have a unified management system, or there are 3 «bosses» of ambulance."

In particular, medical personnel will be appointed by the healthcare administration of the district, recruitment of dispatchers and supply of medicines are carried out in regional centers of the emergency medical aid, and transport fleet, fuel supply and drivers will comply to the orders of the healthcare departments of regions (oblasts),”-the president said.

It was criticized that there was a lot of confusion in the management of such a system, which limited the provision of ambulance services with only the relevant district, and that the ambulance station did not accept calls on the pretext that it was another area, even though it borders the neighboring district.
