The Tel Aviv-Samarkand-Tashkent flight was forced to be delayed, as reported by Uzbekistan Airways.

The delay was attributed to the escalating situation in the Middle East and the closure of part of the region’s airspace. To ensure flight safety, on October 1, 2024, flight HY304, operating on the Tel Aviv-Samarkand-Tashkent route, was delayed.

The estimated time of arrival in Samarkand is 4:40 a.m. local time (October 2).

The estimated time of arrival in Tashkent is 6:35 a.m. local time (October 2).

For context, on October 1, Iran launched a large-scale missile attack on Israel. Israel's Home Front Command issued warnings to the public about the missile launches, urging citizens to "stay vigilant and strictly follow instructions." A nationwide air raid alert was issued, and Israeli airspace has been closed.

According to The Jerusalem Post, which described the incident as the largest missile attack in history, approximately 500 rockets were fired at Israel. This information has not yet been officially confirmed.

Israel has vowed a "painful response" to the rocket attack.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel has strongly advised Uzbek citizens living in Israel to take immediate precautions amid the ongoing rocket fire.
