On August 29, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, received the Ambassador of Georgia to Uzbekistan, Zurab Abdushelishvili, who is completing his diplomatic mission. The head of the MFA announced this on his social network page.

"We met with Mr. Zurab Abdushelishvili, Ambassador of Georgia, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan. We express our gratitude to Ambassador Abdushelishvili for his significant contribution to our bilateral relations, resulting in concrete achievements. We highly value his sincere interest in our history, culture, and literature," stated Bakhtiyor Saidov.

Zurab Abdushelishvili was appointed in May 2019, succeeding Ambassador Konstantin Jgenti. He presented his credentials to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It's worth noting that Shadurdi Meredov began his role in Tashkent as the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan on August 24 this year. Additionally, Yazguli Mammedov, the former ambassador of the country to Uzbekistan, was relieved of his duties upon this appointment.
