From entrepreneur to leader: Zafar Khashimov appointed chairman

Entrepreneur Zafar Khashimov has been appointed as the Chairman of the "Trade and Services" Association on March 3. This announcement was made by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

According to the Chamber, a video conference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was held on February 7 to discuss the development of service sectors in various regions. During the meeting, entrepreneurs proposed the establishment of the "Trade and Services" Association, which was subsequently approved by the President.

"Based on the recommendation of the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the founders of the 'Trade and Services' Association have appointed entrepreneur Zafar Komilovich Khashimov as the Chairman," the statement said.

For context, the association will operate in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. It aims to develop strategic plans for the sector, improve legislation, support entrepreneurs, create new jobs, and strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors.
