Woman detained in Surkhandarya for procuring

A woman has been detained in the Surkhandarya region on charges of procuring, Millar reported.

According to the report, the woman, born in 1998 in Sherobod district of Surkhandarya region, is a mother of two. She had been managing a massage parlor located in the “Bogi-Shamol” neighborhood of Termez city.

It was established that she misused her position for personal gain. On February 13 of this year, at around 1:00 a.m., during an оператив operation, she was caught while attempting to arrange illicit services between a client and a masseuse in exchange for 800,000 soums. She was detained with material evidence at the scene.

The case was reviewed by the Termez City Criminal Court. The woman was found guilty under Article 131 (procuring or maintaining a brothel), Parts 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code. She was sentenced to one year of corrective labor. In addition, under Articles 59 and 61 of the Criminal Code, the court partially combined the penalties and imposed a restriction of liberty for a period of two years.

It is worth noting that earlier reports stated that a man in Bukhara city, Bukhara region, had been detained with 100,000 soums for organizing an online brothel via Telegram.
