Farmer in Surkhandarya attempts to sell 7.7 hectares of land for 800 million UZS

A farmer in Angor district of Surkhandarya region was detained after attempting to sell 7.7 hectares of land for 800 million UZS, according to the State Security Service.
It is reported that the head of a farm engaged in agricultural production demanded 800 million UZS in exchange for formally registering the 7.7-hectare land plot under the name of a citizen born in 1972. He had previously received 520 million UZS in advance.
During an оператив operation conducted by officers of the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, he was detained while receiving the remaining 280 million UZS as material evidence.
A criminal case has been initiated against him, and investigative actions are currently underway.
It is also noted that previously, the head of a cadastral department in one of the districts of Karakalpakstan was detained with 2,000 USD.
