A circulating video captured the journey of children on a rocky, sloping road in the Sariosia district of Surkhandarya. In response to this, the regional administration expressed their concern.
The "Karsh" neighborhood, situated approximately 70 kilometers from Sariosia district's center in a mountainous area, houses 487 residents in 91 houses. The neighborhood's 80-seat school, established in 2018, is currently well-equipped.
In 2022-2023, a new 11-kilometer road through the mountainous terrain was opened for transportation to the "Karsh" neighborhood. Additionally, 5 kilometers of internal roads were paved and repaired, although the road in the video remained incomplete due to unauthorized structures.
The district administration, in coordination with official organizations, is actively developing measures to repair the internal road leading to the "Karsh" neighborhood school as instructed by the regional governor. Repair work is scheduled to commence once the snow on the road melts.
Expressing concern, the regional governor issued instructions to promptly investigate and address the issue. Gratitude was extended to those who addressed the children's educational needs by addressing the road problem in the remote, mountainous region of Surkhandarya, according to the authorities.
