On May 1, videos surfaced on social media showing a group of women assaulting a RSD (traffic patrol) officer in Denov district, Surkhandarya region. The General Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson, Hayot Shamsutdinov, confirmed the incident.

Footage shared online suggests that traffic officers were attempting to issue fines, but the women interfered and confronted the officers aggressively.

According to Shamsutdinov, a criminal case has been opened under Article 277 of the Criminal Code (Hooliganism).

Authorities have detained three suspects as part of the investigation, and legal proceedings are ongoing.

Earlier, in the Navai region, a violator insulted police officers while they were performing their duties. The case was reviewed in a mobile court session in Karmana district, where the offender was sentenced to 15 days in detention under the Administrative Responsibility Code.
