Customs officials in Surkhandarya have uncovered individuals involved in clandestine drug transportation through Uzbekistan. Husan Tangriyev, spokesperson for the Customs Committee, relayed this information to QALAMPIR.UZ.

Upon inspection of a Mercedes Benz cargo vehicle entering Uzbekistan for transit from Afghanistan to Poland at the "Termiz Cargo Center" LLC customs warehouse, authorities discovered 196 pieces weighing 4 kg each packed in 2 unlisted boxes. Additionally, 200 grams of "a mixture of various herbs combined with crushed and dried poppy seeds" were found, not declared in the cargo tracking documents.

Currently, customs authorities are investigating the matter.
