Shopping mall in Surkhandarya catches fire overnight (video)

Today, August 4, a fire broke out in a shopping center located in the Shorchi district of the Surkhandarya region. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported the incident.

According to the report, the fire was reported at 03:02 a.m. on the first and second floors of a three-story shopping center located in the “Bobotog” neighborhood of the Shorchi district. Fire and rescue units arrived at the scene at 03:15 a.m., and the fire was brought under control by 05:10 a.m.

Ten fire and rescue crews and two water tankers were involved in extinguishing the blaze. The fire was fully extinguished by 07:30 a.m., taking more than four hours to eliminate.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident. Authorities are currently investigating to determine the cause of the fire and assess the damage.

It should be recalled that earlier, a fire broke out in an apartment building in the Sergeli district of Tashkent. No casualties were reported in that incident either.
