Today, on 26 December, a new appointment was made to replace Tora Bobolov, the governor of Surkhandarya region, who left his post.
It was reported that Ulugbek Kasimov Berdigobilovich was appointed acting governor of Surkhandarya region by the decree of the President.
The appointment was announced today, 26 December, at a meeting held at the Surkhandarya regional administration with the participation of regional activists. The head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardar Umurzakov and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov took part in it.
For information, Ulugbek Kasimov had been working as a prosecutor of Tashkent until now. He also worked as the governor of Muzrabot and Denov districts of Surkhandarya region, prosecutor of Surkhandarya and Fergana regions.
