Obscene abuse in public places and insulting citizens can result in a fine of up to 1.5 million soms.

This provision is contained in article 183 of the Administrative Liability Code:

“Minor harassment, that is, swearing in public places with obscene words, insulting citizens and other similar actions, violating public order and the peace of citizens, and deliberate non-compliance with the rules of conduct in society can result in liability from three to five times the basic amount. Imposition of administrative arrest for up to fifteen days is also possible”.

From 1 June 2022, given that the basic amount of calculation in Uzbekistan is 300,000 soms, perpetrators of this violation will be fined in the amount of 900,000 to 1.5 million soms.
