Today, the 13 January, at the Tashkent inter-district economic court, the list P6580 of 10 December 2019, was issued to the "QURAMAX MEDIKAL" Limited Liability Company of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Network, under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan to carry out pharmaceutical activities, cancelled the digital license.  The Supreme Court Press Service reported that an open court hearing was held to review the application for removal and destruction of drugs that are unsuitable for use.

According to the decision of the court, license No. P6580 of 10 December 2019, issued to "QURAMAX MEDIKAL" LLC for the implementation of pharmaceutical activities was cancelled and drugs deemed unfit-for-use were withdrawn from circulation and destroyed.

The decision announced by the parties in this economic case can be appealed within the procedure and time limit established by the law.

This decision of the court on the application of a measure of legal effect, unless an appeal (protest) is filed, will enter into force ten days after its adoption.

Also, it was decided to issue a private ruling on the violation of legal requirements regarding the behavior or inaction of the authorized officer and officials related to this economic case, and send it to the Tashkent city prosecutor's office.  An appeal (protest) can be filed against this ruling in the prescribed manner.

It should be recalled that by the order of the Pharmaceutical Network Development Agency of the Ministry of Health on 22 December 2022, it was decided to withdraw "Dok-1 Max" drugs from pharmacies.

Also, it was reported that 7 officials were dismissed after the death of 18 children in Samarkand due to the consumption of "Dok-1 Max" syrup.

On 28 December, it was announced that another child died after drinking "Dok-1 Max" syrup in Kashkadarya.  In Namangan, a child who took Dok-1 Max died.

Currently, the number of children who have died from this drug has reached 20.

Following this, the Investigative Department of the State Security Service opened a criminal case against the officials of "Kuramax Medical" LLC and "Scientific Center for Standardization of Medicines" LLC, and the suspects were placed in the Investigative Detention Center of the State Security Service.

Later, India's Marion Biotech Pvt. reported that the Ltd. company had stopped the production of these drugs.  Also, the sale of all types of medicines produced by this company was stopped.

On 2 January 2023, it was reported that a 3-year-old boy in Fergana was being treated for acute drug poisoning after drinking Dok-1 Max syrup.  It was reported that 7 patients were poisoned by "Dok-1 Max" syrup in the Syrdarya region, 4 of them recovered and 3 are currently in the intensive care unit.

Earlier, "Dok-1 Max" was found to contain 300 times more toxic substances than normal.  In addition, it was reported that 9 children were poisoned by "Dok-1 Max" in the Tashkent region.

On 11 January 2023, the World Health Organization called on the world's population to avoid Dok-1 Max and Ambronol syrups.
