Avazjon Karimov steps up as Deputy Minister of Sports

3786Avazjon Karimov Kudratillayevich has been appointed Deputy Minister of Sports in Uzbekistan, following a presidential resolution signed recently.
Before his appointment, Karimov served as an advisor to the Minister of Sports, playing an active role in shaping sports policy and development initiatives.
Avazjon Karimov was born on May 19, 1983, in Tashkent. He holds degrees from Tashkent State University of Economics and the Uzbekistan State Institute of Physical Education.
Karimov began his career in 2006 as Deputy Chairman of the Karate Federation of Uzbekistan. From 2007 to 2011, he led the Tashkent branch of the federation, demonstrating leadership in organizing and promoting karate in the region.
In 2011, he transitioned to the Badminton Federation of Uzbekistan, serving as Deputy Chairman. His contributions to multiple sports federations highlight his commitment to developing various athletic disciplines in the country.
From 2014 to 2015, Karimov was appointed Deputy Director of the Republican School of Higher Sports Mastery for Winter and Complex Technical Sports. Later, he became the Head of the Republican School of Higher Sports Mastery (RSHVSM) for Equestrian Sports, focusing on preparing elite athletes and enhancing Uzbekistan’s equestrian capabilities.
Between 2017 and 2019, he directed the Chirchik Specialized Boarding School of Olympic Reserves, playing a key role in nurturing young sports talents. In September 2019, he took over as the head of the Republican College of Olympic Reserves, continuing his efforts in training future Olympians and advancing sports education.
