As we previously reported, farmers in the Syrdarya region arbitrarily burned plant residues in a field. A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the situation.
This was reported by the Press Service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
It is noted that on 7 March of this year, as a result of carelessness, arable land, forest, trees and other grasses were burnt on the land of the state forest and hunting farm in Sirdarya district. As a result, a total of 167.7 million soms was damaged to the flora.
In connection with this situation, a criminal case was initiated under Article 198 of the Criminal Code (damage or destruction of plants).
“Investigative actions are being carried out by the investigative department of the Internal Affairs Department of the Syrdarya district,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
