6599Reports surfaced on social media alleging that teachers in a Syrdarya region school were punishing students by sticking needles into them. The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) of the Syrdarya region has issued an official response regarding this incident.
According to the DIA, a report was received via the short number 102, stating that teacher A.G. had stuck a needle in the hand of G.O., a 1st-grade student at School No. 27 in the Sirdarya district. The student's relative, E.G., who resides in the Andijan district of the Andijan region, alleged that the teacher had also pressured the child regarding bathroom usage.
The Syrdarya District DIA initiated an investigation into the matter. Experts interviewed 1st-grade students and their parents. During the investigation, the teacher denied the accusations of sticking a needle in the student's hand. Furthermore, the parents and students provided positive feedback about the teacher, and the investigation did not confirm the alleged incident.
To clarify the matter further, a forensic medical examination was ordered to assess the injuries sustained by the minor, G.O.
The investigation is still ongoing, conducted by the DIA of the Syrdarya district.
This follows a similar case reported earlier in Tashkent’s Sergeli district, where a 1st-grade teacher at School No. 277 allegedly used needles and screws to punish students. In that case, the teacher was dismissed, and a criminal case was launched against them.
