Drug lab discovered in Syrdarya: Three suspects detained (video)

Three individuals were arrested in the Syrdarya region for organizing a drug laboratory. The State Security Service reported the incident.

A joint operation conducted by the State Security Service and the Internal Affairs bodies was carried out in the Syrdarya region. According to reports, a 1995-born resident of Gulistan and his 1996-born wife, in collusion with a citizen born in 1995 in the Fergana region and currently residing in Gulistan, organized the production of synthetic narcotic substances at the latter’s house. The drugs were distributed to clients using the ’’dead drop’’ method.

During the operation, 4 kilograms and 373 grams of synthetic drug ’’Mephedrone,’’ as well as electronic scales, a mixer, a gas mask, zip bags, and other packaging materials, were seized as physical evidence.

It was revealed that the drug dealers were manufacturing narcotics using raw materials sent from abroad by a criminal group operating across the CIS countries through online networks.

A criminal case has been initiated against the three individuals under Article 273, part 5 of the Criminal Code (Illegal preparation, acquisition, storage, or other actions related to narcotic drugs, their analogues, or psychotropic substances with intent to distribute). Investigative procedures are currently underway.

It is worth noting that earlier, 12.5 kilograms of narcotic substances — amounting to 25,000 doses — were seized in Tashkent, Fergana, and Andijan regions.
