Lacetti with a driver who fell asleep crashed into a metal barrier in Syrdarya (video)

Today, June 30, reports circulated on social networks that a Lacetti driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a metal barrier. The regional Road Safety Department has responded to these reports.

It was reported that on June 19, at approximately 5:40 a.m., on the 116th kilometer of the international A-373 highway passing through the Okoltin district of Syrdarya region, the driver of a Lacetti lost control of the vehicle and collided with the metal barrier dividing the road.

Following the incident, a Yutong vehicle traveling along the same route collided with the Lacetti.

As a result of the accident, one passenger in the Lacetti sustained injuries and was transported to the district medical association for treatment. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.

It should be recalled that earlier on the Tashkent–Bekabad road, passing through the Piskent district of the Tashkent region, a similar accident occurred where the driver and another passenger lost their lives after the driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel.
