Uzbek grandmaster Sindorov eliminates Nakamura in quarterfinals

On February 10, the second games of the quarterfinals of the prestigious Freestyle Chess Grand Slam tournament took place in Weissenhaus, Germany.

Uzbek grandmaster Javokhir Sindorov, who continues his pursuit of the championship title, secured a draw against American Hikaru Nakamura in their second game. However, in the decisive tie-break, Sindorov emerged victorious, advancing to the semifinals.

Meanwhile, another Uzbek grandmaster, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, suffered a defeat against Norwegian Magnus Carlsen in the second game of their quarterfinal match. Abdusattorov will now compete for 5th place in the tournament.

With these results, the semifinalists of the competition are:
