Uzbek national team striker Eldor Shomurodov will extend his contract with AS Roma until the summer of 2027. This was reported by well-known Italian football insider Nicola Schira.
According to the source, Roma had initially planned to sell the Uzbek forward during the January transfer window, but head coach Claudio Ranieri decided to keep him in the squad. Since then, Shomurodov has made key contributions by scoring important goals for the team.
Shomurodov joined Roma in 2021. In the current season, he has featured in 32 matches across all competitions, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists.
It should be recalled that Shomurodov scored the winning goal for Roma in their Serie A Round 33 match against Verona.
