Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded Pakistan’s highest state honor (video)

Today, February 6, a ceremony was held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr residence to present the “Nishan-e-Pakistan” order to President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The press service of the Uzbek leader reported this.

According to the report, President Asif Ali Zardari solemnly presented Pakistan’s highest state award to the head of Uzbekistan.

It was noted that this prestigious honor is a worthy recognition of the joint efforts to expand multifaceted cooperation, as well as an expression of friendly relations and deep respect for the people of Uzbekistan.

Confidence was also expressed that the Uzbekistan–Pakistan strategic partnership is steadily advancing to a new qualitative level.

For reference, this high state award has been conferred in different years on Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, former U.S. President Richard Nixon, former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela, King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, former President of the UAE Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, former President of the People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao, President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman, and others.
