Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission

Today 12 July, the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich.

Within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, priority areas of mutual cooperation in the fields of trade, production cooperation, transport and logistics, innovation, migration, and tourism were first considered.

The Head of State stressed that Uzbekistan, as an observer state, has established systematic interaction with the organization’s structures.

The Memorandum and Plan of Joint Action for the period up to 2023 are being implemented. Today, a list of additional areas of cooperation was signed. It was noted with satisfaction that the indicators of mutual trade and investment with the EEU countries are growing positively.

Particular attention is paid to the removal of trade barriers, the strengthening of production networks and the promotion of business linkages, the development of project cooperation, the promotion of transit programs and projects, the facilitation of migration procedures, expansion of the flow of reciprocal tourists.

It was agreed to hold the following meeting of the Joint Working Group.
