Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulates Xi Jinping

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a congratulatory letter to President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping today, June 15, on the occasion of his birthday.

In his message, the head of state described Xi Jinping as a major political figure of the People’s Republic of China and the Communist Party of China, emphasizing his dedicated service to China and the interests of its people. It was also noted that, thanks to Xi Jinping’s strategic thinking and wise leadership, China’s modernization is continuing consistently, while his policy aimed at the great rejuvenation and development of the nation holds an important place in the country’s history.

The congratulatory letter paid special attention to the fact that relations between Uzbekistan and China have risen to a new level in recent years. It was noted that friendship, mutual trust and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries are strengthening year by year.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that China’s continued support and practical assistance, as well as Xi Jinping’s personal support, play an important role in the large-scale reforms being carried out in New Uzbekistan.

It was also noted that over the past years, mechanisms for mutually beneficial cooperation have been formed in the economy, trade, investment and other priority areas, and a number of major projects have been successfully implemented within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The head of state expressed confidence that the consistent implementation of high-level dialogue and the agreements reached will help bring cooperation between Uzbekistan and China to an even higher-quality stage.

At the end of the letter, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev wished Xi Jinping strong health, family happiness and great success in his state activities, and wished the Chinese people peace, prosperity and sustainable development.
