Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev begins official visit to Budapest (video)

On May 19, at the invitation of Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Budapest for an official visit accompanied by his wife. This was reported by the Presidential Press Service.

In front of the airplane, the Uzbek leader was greeted by Hungary’s Minister of Economic Development, Marton Nad, along with other official representatives.

At the Ferenc Liszt International Airport, in honor of the high-ranking guest, the national flags of both countries were hoisted, and an honorary guard formation paraded.

According to the schedule of the visit, high-level Uzbekistan–Hungary negotiations will be held on May 20.

President Mirziyoyev will also hold meetings with Hungarian officials and leaders of leading companies.

On May 21, the President of Uzbekistan will participate in an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States in the Hungarian capital.

It should be recalled that from May 19 to 22, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is scheduled to make official visits to Hungary and the Republic of Slovenia. On May 22, in Ljubljana, he will meet with Slovenian President Natasha Pirs Musar, engage in discussions with the country’s parliament and government leaders, and participate in joint business events.
