Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives Kazakh Prime Minister

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov as part of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum. The presidential press service reported this.

According to the report, at the beginning of the conversation, Olzhas Bektenov conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Head of State.

The parties considered current issues related to further deepening Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan relations of strategic partnership and alliance.

Active dialogue at all levels was noted with satisfaction. Trade turnover continues to grow, and cooperation projects in priority sectors of the economy are being implemented on the basis of the recently adopted new roadmap.

The importance of thorough preparation for the meeting of the intergovernmental commission to be held in July, as well as the first Council of Regional Leaders scheduled to take place in Aktau, was emphasized.

Earlier, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum.
