Shavkat Mirziyoyev received German Foreign Minister Baerbock

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Annalena Baerbock, head of the German Foreign Policy Office.  This was reported by the press secretary of the President’s Office, Sherzod Asadov.

The main issues on the agenda of the negotiations: the deepening of multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Germany with an emphasis on expanding cooperation in the field of "green" economy, regional cooperation, including the updated strategy of the European Union for Central Asia.  Focus will also be on facilitating the establishment of peace in Afghanistan as soon as possible.

It should be recalled that earlier Mrs. Baerbock also met with her colleague from Uzbekistan, Vladimir Norov.  The meeting was held in school No. 60 in Tashkent, where the German language is taught in-depth, and in the production area of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine, where cooperation projects with leading German companies are implemented.
