Shavkat Mirziyoyev sends condolences to Erdogan

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the loss of life and injuries caused by a passenger bus accident in Türkiye’s Denizli province. Presidential press secretary Sherzod Asadov reported this.

The head of state expressed deep sympathy to the families of those killed and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

According to reports, the accident occurred in the town of Saraykoy in Denizli. The bus, which was reportedly traveling from Izmir to Antalya, was carrying 38 passengers and three crew members. It caught fire after crashing into roadside barriers. Firefighters, ambulance crews and police officers arrived at the scene.

After the fire was extinguished, it was determined that the driver and seven passengers had died at the scene. A nine-month-old baby was reportedly among the victims. The injured were taken by ambulance to hospitals in the city.
