Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulates “Arkadag” on his birthday

Today, June 29, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan. The Presidential Press Service reported this.

It was noted that at the beginning of the conversation, the Uzbek leader sincerely congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday, wishing him good health, family happiness, and peace, stability and prosperity to the brotherly people of Turkmenistan.

In turn, the Chairman of the People’s Council conveyed greetings from President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Uzbek leader.

It was reported that the sides highly assessed the current state of the strategic partnership. Close and effective contacts continue at all levels. Trade turnover is growing steadily, while cooperation projects are being implemented in industry, energy, transport and other priority sectors. The Shovot-Dashoguz trade zone is operating effectively.

Interregional, business, cultural and humanitarian exchanges are also expanding.

The results of the recent meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council held in Ashgabat were highly praised.

Special attention was paid to coordinating and advancing the regional agenda as part of preparations for the eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, which will be held in Turkmenistan in October this year.
