Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited Halima Yakub to Uzbekistan

Today, 17 January, within the framework of the state visit to Singapore by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a bilateral meeting was held with the President of this country Halima Yakub.  This was reported by the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, views were exchanged on the prospects for further deepening of relations between Uzbekistan and Singapore, and reforms to democratize social and political life.

It was noted that there is active cooperation in the field of education.  The Singapore Institute of Management Development and the Singapore Academy of Technologies, Management, and Communications are successfully operating in Tashkent.

The experience of the two countries in expanding regional cooperation and integration in Central and South-East Asia was reviewed in detail.

It was noted that Uzbekistan and Singapore understand each other on the issues of regional stability and consistent development in international arenas and help each other in promoting initiatives in this regard.

At the end of the meeting, the main directions of cooperation were defined.
