Uzbek national buys luxury apartment worth nearly $5.1 million in Seoul

16640An apartment in the renowned Banpo Xi complex in Seocho-gu, Seoul, South Korea, was sold for 7.4 billion won ($5.1 million), with the buyer identified as an Uzbek citizen. This was reported by Chosun Biz.
According to the report, a 41-year-old man, identified as A. and originally from Uzbekistan, purchased the 244-square-meter apartment for 7.4 billion won in November of last year.
“This is the highest price in the area, 300 million won more than the previous sale,” the report stated.
It was also noted that the buyer's address is listed as the “Korean-Uzbek Traditional Medicine Clinic” in Tashkent. The property was officially registered in the buyer's name on February 28.
“It is likely that the full 7.4 billion won was paid in cash, as there is no mortgage on the property deed,” the report added.
