Serdar Berdimuhamedov is coming to Uzbekistan

At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the president of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimukhamedov will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on July 14-15.

It is noted that the agenda of the high-level negotiations include the issues of further development and strengthening of friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, as well as the expansion of multifaceted cooperation.

Practical relations in the main directions, including increasing the volume of mutual trade, establishing industrial cooperation, effective use of transport and transit potential, implementing important projects in the field of water management, activation of interregional communication, and cultural-humanitarian prospects for continuing exchange programs will be in focus.

Heads of state are expected to exchange views on issues of international importance and current aspects of regional cooperation.

At the end of the summit, it is planned to sign a joint statement and a number of bilateral documents.

It is planned that the high-ranking guest will hold a meeting at the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan and get acquainted with the attractions of the city of Samarkand.

Within the framework of the preparation for this visit on 1-2 July, the activities of the joint intergovernmental commission on water management issues were successfully held in Tashkhovuz city.

On 12 July, an Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan scientific-practical conference dedicated to the issues of expanding bilateral relations and realizing the potential of strategic partnership was held in the capital.

On the eve of the visit, the first forum of regions, a meeting of the business council, and an exhibition of leading enterprises of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are being held in Bukhara.
