The senator said that measures will be taken against the use of religion for political purposes and radicalization

The Senate will fight against radicalization in society, poisoning of young minds with corrupting foreign ideas, and preventing the use of religion for political purposes.  The chairman of the Defense and Security Committee Qutbiddin Burkhanov announced this at the 36th plenary session of the Senate, which is being held today, 27 December.

 “Together with partner structures, ministries and agencies, we will introduce the most impressive and effective mechanisms based on the existing legal framework and practical analyzes to prevent radicalization and protect our youth from the effects of various evils.

To prevent any attempt to use religion for political purposes, necessary guidance to both the responsible agencies and our committee members regarding the actions to be taken based on the specificity of each area, if necessary.  And recommendations were made,” says the senator.

According to him, the activities in this regard are being regularly improved based on the current situation and the wishes of the population.

He emphasized that increasing the effectiveness of work on educating young people in the military-patriotic spirit is a constant focus.

“Especially in the last year, the unpleasant events happening in the countries close to us and the tragedies have shown that it is time to move from empty words to practical actions in this regard,” says Burkhanov.
