The last plenary session of the Senate in 2022 has begun

Today, on 27 December, the 36th plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan began its work.

The plenary meeting is planned to be held from 27-28 December of this year in the form of a video conference.

In the plenary session:

• “On Amendments to the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan" “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2023” and “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022”;

• “On crime prevention”;

• “On accreditation of conformity assessment bodies”;

• Laws “Restricting the distribution and consumption of alcohol and tobacco products” will be discussed.

At the same time, at the next plenary meeting, the ratification of the agreement “On Technical Regulation” and “The Agreement between the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the government of the Republic of Turkey on the transfer of prisoners (Tashkent, 29 March 2022)” and “On making additions and amendments to certain legal documents of the Republic of Uzbekistan” are also planned to be reviewed.

In addition, the work carried out by the senators in connection with the projects determined to further improve the infrastructure of the neighborhoods and the implementation of the strategy for achieving gender equality in the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030 in 2022 and the issue of approving the measures for its implementation in 2023  is also discussed.

Approval of the decisions of the Senate Council of the Oliy Majlis is also envisaged as part of the plenary session.
