Requirements for tourism organizations will be simplified

Requirements for tourism organizations in Uzbekistan will be simplified.  Today 19 September, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan spoke at a video conference dedicated to tourism.

At the meeting it was noted that today there are 97 requirements for opening a hotel and 138 requirements for obtaining a «star».

«If we want to compete in the tourism sector, first of all we need to pay special attention to the quality of hotels», - the president said.

It has been ordered to simplify the requirements for establishing hotels on the basis of international standards.

It is indicated that it is necessary to simplify the system of registration of tourists in the internal affairs agencies.

«At a time when even the most developed countries are competing for every tourist, it is necessary to revise all our excessive restrictions», - Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

In this regard, the Ministers of Tourism and the Internal Affairs have been assigned to transfer foreign tourists to the procedure of online notification on obtaining a permit for temporary registration at the Internal Affairs department.
