A new governor has been appointed to the Saykhunobod district

Komiljon Mullajonov has been designated as the governor of Saykhunobod district, as announced by the administration of Syrdarya region.

Anvar Karimov, the former mayor of Saykhunobod district, has been relieved of his duties due to his relocation to another position. Komiljon Mullajonov, who has been serving as the head of the regional branch of "Mikrokreditbank," has been appointed as the new district governor.

The specific position to which Anvar Karimov has transferred is currently undisclosed. He assumed the role of governor of Sayhunobod district in late October 2023.

For context, Komiljon Mullajonov, born in 1990 in Saykhunobod district, graduated from Tashkent State University of Economics in 2012 and the Academy of Banking and Finance in 2017. Throughout his career, he has held various positions such as chief specialist, department head, and head of the Syrdarya regional branch of "Uzsanoatqurilishbank," an open joint-stock commercial bank.

It is worth noting that Abdurahim Umarov, formerly the head of the Syrdarya region branch of the People's Bank, has been appointed as the first deputy governor of the Syrdarya region.
