A state standard on adventure tourism will be introduced

"Requirements" for state standards and security management systems in relation to Adventure tourism is being developed.  This was reported by the Press Service of the Tourism and Cultural Heritage Agency.

It is noted that a state standard was adopted by the order of the Technical Regulatory Agency of Uzbekistan on 18 January 2023.  The standard is planned to be implemented from 18 April of this year.

This standard defines the safety management system requirements for adventure tourism activity providers.

A provider can use this standard to:

improve security efficiency;

meeting expectations regarding the safety of participants and staff;

demonstrate safe practice;

support compliance with applicable legal requirements.

For information, this standard can be used by providers of all types and sizes operating in different geographic, cultural and social environments.
