Sardor Umurzakov meets with Jordan's King Abdullah II

On September 30, King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan received Sardor Umurzakov, Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan on Strategic Development. The report was published on the official page of the King.

It was noted that Umurzakov’s visit to Jordan, leading a high-level delegation, is being carried out within the framework of continued cooperation following the King’s successful visit to Uzbekistan last month. Umurzakov is also scheduled to meet with several Jordanian officials.

The Crown Prince, Hussein bin Abdullah II, also attended the meeting. The King praised the strong ties of friendship between Jordan and Uzbekistan, emphasizing the need to effectively utilize existing opportunities for growth, particularly in areas such as trade, investment, healthcare, education, tourism, and defense.

The King also emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between the two governments, building on the outcomes of his visit to Uzbekistan, during which nine agreements and cooperation protocols, as well as three memoranda of understanding, were signed.

The meeting was also attended by Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, the King’s Chief Advisor for Religious and Cultural Affairs, and his personal envoy. During the discussion, the latest developments in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem were also reviewed.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi, along with members of the Uzbek delegation, were present at the meeting as well.

It is worth noting that earlier, President Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah II on September 23 this year on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly’s anniversary session.
