A new award for artists was established

The national award "New Stars of Uzbekistan" has been introduced.  This is stated in the regulation on the "New Stars of Uzbekistan" national award for culture and art, approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on 14 October this year.

This award is given to talented artists who have raised the culture and art of Uzbekistan and made a significant contribution to its international reputation.

Awarding the prize is traditionally held once a year among artists in the following terms:

• National award nominations (20 nominations in total) are selected annually from 10 January to 10 February;

• selected nominations are announced annually by 1 March;

• candidates for awards are submitted to the Ministry of Culture (working body) by 1 November every year;

• the working body examines documents related to candidates from 1-10 November every year;

• every year between 10-15 November, the commission reviews the documents and selects the best 3 candidates (for each nomination);

• the list of the best 3 candidates will be posted on social networks for public voting from 15 December to 10 January of the following year;

The awarding of this year's winners will be held on 25 January next year.

Award-winning creators will be encouraged with a cash prize of 100 times the base calculation amount and will be given a special award statuette and certificate.
