False reports of 6 deaths in Samarkand accident disproved

On February 11 of this year, social networks spread information that on the section of the M-39 highway passing through the territory of the Jamboy district of the Samarkand region, a bus traveling to a concert in Tashkent collided with a Cobalt and overturned, killing 6 people. QALAMPIR.UZ contacted the head of the Jamboy District Medical Association, Tozagul Kholikova, to obtain information about the victims.
According to her, 23 women were brought to the hospital that day. 16 of them were admitted to the surgical department and 2 to the intensive care unit. One passenger died at the scene and was sent for examination. Currently, 16 people in the surgical department have been treated and sent home. 2 patients remain in the intensive care unit. Their condition is assessed as stable. The reports that 6 people died are not true.
We would like to remind you that earlier the Samarkand Regional Transport Department provided information about the incident. According to it, on February 11, at around 7:00 am, a Zhong Tong bus engaged in passenger transportation was traveling on the 1079th kilometer of the M-39 highway passing through the Samarkand mahalla of the Jomboy district and was involved in a traffic accident on the bridge. A criminal case has been initiated by the Investigation Department under the regional Internal Affairs Department and investigative actions are being conducted. According to the conclusion of the investigation, additional information will be provided to the public.
