Four young guys drown in a reservoir in Samarkand

4 young guys drowned in Kattakorgan reservoir in Samarkand region.  The press secretary of the General Prosecutor’s Office, Hayat Shamsutdinov, informed KALAMPIR.UZ about this.

It is reported that on July 30 of this year O.E., E.U., I.D., S.R., Z.O., O.A., living in Chirakchi and Kokdala districts of Kashkadarya region.  And E.H. celebrated the birthday of their friend M.M., who lives in “Pulat” neighborhood, Nurabad district.  On this day, at around 5:30 p.m., they wanted to bathe in the Kattakorgon reservoir, and swam about 40 meters away from the shore of the reservoir with a boat from this place.

They lost their balance because they made erratic movements on the boat in order to take a photo.  As a result, the boat overturned.  Z.O., who was on the boat.  O.A.  and E.X. sailed ashore, but O.E., E.U., S.R.  and I.D.’s were drowned.

During the rescue work, the body of the deceased O.E. was found.  Search and rescue operations are currently underway.

We remind you that two children drowned in the Kara Darya River located in the Baliqchi district of the Andijan region.
