It was said that the winter vacation will be short in schools of Samarkand

In the Samarkand region, the classes of the III quarter will start a little earlier - on 5 January, 2023, in schools with a delayed start of the academic year.  This was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Public Education.

It is noted that in connection with an important international political event held in the city of Samarkand in September of this year, according to the decision of the Samarkand City Council of People's Deputies, general secondary educational institutions in the city of Samarkand, as well as the decisions of the local councils of the Okdarya, Toyloq, Samarkand districts and according to the relevant order of the Jomboy district administration, 3 (7, 23, 53) in Samarkand district, 5 (11, 12, 15, 17, 59) in Toyloq district, 5 (25, 38, 39, 41, 48) in Okdarya district ), 6 (5, 6, 8, 22, 20 and 44) secondary schools in Jomboy district were given an extraordinary holiday on between  5-19 September.  In the decisions, it is determined that the missed lesson hours will be covered by vacations during the academic year.

"Accordingly, the classes left on 5, 6, 7, and 8 September in the institutions were filled up on 4, 5, 7, and 8 November of the autumn vacation.

• Lessons missed on 9, 10, 12, 13, and 14 September will be replaced by the last 5 days of the winter vacation (5, 6, 7, 9, and 10 January 2023) for a total of 5 study days;

"We inform you that the lessons left on 15, 16, and 17 September 2022 will be filled up based on the last 3 school days of the spring vacation of 2023," the Ministry of Public Education said.

We remind you that the winter vacation in general secondary schools begins on 28 January, the vacation lasts 14 calendar days, and the III quarter begins on 11 January 2023.
