3 teenagers died in a terrible accident in Samarkand

On the night of October 16, three individuals lost their lives in an accident that occurred on Sadriddin Ainiy Street in Samarkand. This information was reported to QALAMPIR.UZ by the press service of the Road Safety Service of the Regional Internal Affairs Department.

Two of their friends were passengers in a Nexia car being driven by a 17-year-old boy who was involved in the accident. The car crashed into a concrete barrier due to the driver losing control. Afterward, it crossed the road and collided with a tree, ultimately catching fire. Tragically, the driver succumbed to his injuries on the scene, while two passengers passed away in the hospital.

"In response to this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code (Violation of safety rules for the movement of vehicles or their use, resulting in human death), and investigations are underway," as stated by the regional Department of Internal Affairs, according to the Traffic Safety Service.
