Samarkand teacher fired for assaulting a student during the class

A teacher at a school in Samarkand has been dismissed after assaulting a student during class. The incident was reported by the Children’s Ombudsman.

According to the details, on April 21, during a chemistry lesson in the 7th grade of School No. 35 in Samarkand, teacher Sh.M. became angry at student H.D. for arriving late and disrupting the lesson. Allegedly, the teacher attempted to take the student to the principal’s office but resorted to intimidation and physical force.

On April 23, the school administration terminated the employment contract with Sh.M., citing inappropriate actions that violated professional responsibilities.

The district police department is currently conducting a preliminary inquiry into the incident. Additional information will be provided as the case progresses. The situation is under the supervision of the Children’s Ombudsman.

It is worth noting that earlier, in a separate incident, a teacher at a private school in the Sergeli district of Tashkent was fined 1.5 million UZS for assaulting a 7th-grade student.
