On June 17, Timur Rustamov, Chairman of the Urgut District Court for Civil Affairs in the Samarkand region, tragically died in a road accident. The incident was confirmed by the press service of the Supreme Council of Judges.

According to reports, the accident occurred at approximately 20:30 on the 61st kilometer of the 4R-47 highway, near the “Boghishamol” mahalla in Urgut district. A Kamaz-53212 truck collided with a Nexia 3 passenger car in which Rustamov was traveling.

The judge, born in 1986, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (Violation of the rules for the movement or use of vehicles), and the Urgut District Prosecutor’s Office is carrying out a preliminary investigation.

It should be noted that a similar incident occurred earlier in the Yangiyul district of the Tashkent region, where a truck hit a 9-year-old boy riding a bicycle. The child was hospitalized with various injuries, and local authorities have launched an investigation into that case as well.
