Drunk driver sentenced to jail in Samarkand

In the Jomboy district of the Samarkand region, a driver who was caught operating a vehicle while intoxicated has been sentenced to 15 days of administrative detention, while three others were also penalized. This was reported by the Road Traffic Safety Service.

According to the report, three of the drivers were fined 40 times the base calculation rate (16,480,000 soums) and deprived of their driving rights for three years. Another driver, who was under the influence of alcohol and did not possess a driver’s license, was sentenced to 15 days in custody. In addition, one driver was fined one base calculation rate (412,000 soums) for disobeying a traffic officer’s lawful order, while another was stripped of driving rights for one year for performing dangerous drifting maneuvers.

It is worth noting that earlier, a Spark and a Lacetti collided, and one of the vehicles also struck a pedestrian standing by the roadside in the Fergana region.
