Gentra hits 15-year-old girl and flees in Samarkand (video)

A video circulating on social media shows a Gentra driver hitting a teenage girl and fleeing the scene in the Samarkand region. The regional Road Safety Department has provided details on the incident.

According to the report, on September 24 at around 19:00, a Gentra driver traveling in the opposite direction on Panjikent Street, which runs through the Samarkand district, struck a 15-year-old pedestrian at high speed and immediately fled the scene.

Following search operations, the regional Road Safety Department located both the driver and the vehicle in a workshop.

The driver stated that he panicked after hitting the girl and fled out of fear.

Authorities reported that legal documents have been filed against the driver, and explanatory work is being carried out.

It is worth noting that earlier, in the city of Andijan, a Nexia-2 car hit a schoolgirl born in 2015. As a result of that traffic accident, the pedestrian sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
