The fees for waste collection in Samarkand have risen

3870Residents in the Samarkand region will face higher costs for waste collection and disposal following the decision made at the 98th session of the Regional Council of People's Deputies on April 26.
During the session, deputies deliberated on setting the mandatory tariffs for household waste collection and disposal. Based on input from relevant departments, new tariff amounts for these services across the cities and districts of the region were approved.
Under the new decision, residents in Samarkand City and the region will pay 5,600 soums monthly, while those in Kattaqorgon and other districts will pay 4,624 soums.
The tariff rise aims to enhance service quality and improve environmental and sanitary conditions in neighborhoods.
Further details on the tariffs will be announced later, according to the statement.
Previously, unified payment tariffs for waste collection and removal services were approved in Karakalpakstan, Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Surkhandarya regions, and the city of Qarshi.
